Everything you need to know about the Solar Eclipse
Welcome Back! Let’s get into it.
The week ahead of us 🔍
2Q24 Earnings Season kicks off this week, with the Banks starting to report later in the week.
Tuesday: Tilray
Wednesday: Delta, Rent the Runway
Thursday: Constellation Brands, Fastenal
Friday: JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, Progressive, BlackRock, Citi, State Street
The main story 📰
On Monday April 8th, 2024, a Solar Eclipse will cross 15 U.S. states: Even though the Sun is 400x wider than the Moon, the Moon’s proximity to us will result in the Moon covering the Sun briefly on Monday. Around 32mm will have the moon completely blocking the sun, however another 150mm people live within a 200 mile radius of the path and will get a glimpse. This will start at 11:08 PDT and last anywhere from 1 - 4minutes long. However, not every big city is going to get a good glimpse. NYC for example, as you can see below is well out of the total eclipse path.
However, please note you need to be wearing specific glasses that filter out harmful radiation coming from the sun. These need to have ISO certification on them to effectively work. Once in totality (aka total eclipse), you can take the glasses off, but so long as there’s light around the edges, you NEED to have your glasses on.
This will be the only North American coast-to-coast eclipse until 2045! So if you’re going to check it out, Monday is your chance!

A Message From Our Sponsor
How did @TheArbFather make $10,000+ profit in February?
His secret sauce: Arbitrage betting.
Instead of getting bettings tips from slick-talking handicappers, TheArbFather bets on both sides of an outcome to guarantee a risk-free return. An example of this is betting on a game total to be over 224.5 AND under 224.5.
This might sound too good to be true, but the reason this can happen is sportsbooks set their lines for games independently. Sometimes, they make mistakes and there are situations where FanDuel’s odds are different from DraftKings’ odds.
Unless you are a PhD-wielding, Python-coding, Excel-Wizard… finding arbitrage opportunities consistently has been out of reach. Until now…
OddsJam scans millions of odds every second and finds these need-in-a-haystack opportunities that you can bet on to secure a risk-free profit.
